Finally got the copy of our last show(episode 31) from the satellite uplink center. The one recorded in studio and posted here had some dropouts and glitches in the audio. No longer. We're happy to present a pristine audio quality version of what was one of our best shows.
The entire show is below for download. As a reminder, we have all the shows available as mp3 in the box set.
"First, the House bill could reopen dangerous intelligence gaps by putting in place a cumbersome court approval process that would make it harder to collect intelligence on foreign terrorists."
Having checks and balances and court oversight(as designated by the Constitution) is considered cumbersome to this Republican administration. That's why they have bypassed it. They prefer a secret police that can spy on anyone and answers to nobody.
Feel safe?

Friday I had the pleasure of sitting in on Opie and Anthony's national radio show, in which Opie declared he would make a mustache out of the insides of a baby diaper if someone showed up with one in the next hour and a half. Confident that the clock would win, he freaked when friend/comedian/recent father Rich Vos showed up. Seeing the baby wasn't in tow, he breathed a sigh of relief, but he breathed too early.

when i first moved to new york in 1995, i quickly became friends with mary. we called her crazy mary - a girl that had lived the 80s like they deserved to be lived. backstage at long island and new york city concerts, driving home in a convertible with everyone half cooked, long island hair fighting the wind and cigarettes glowing. when you had a party she would show up with the nitrous. she was the sweetheart that everyone gravitated around. everyone loved mary. she chilled out, met the love of her life, moved to a sleepy woodsy community in the eastern stretches of long island and had three kids. and today she died of cancer. 37.
i went to mary's wedding. it was about girls with big bangs that chewed gum, smoked during dinner and put their cigarettes out on the pork chop on their plate. Real people. Working class people that worked hard and played hard. I always looked up to mary. she was genuine and took care of her friends.
Taxes stink, but as they say, you gotta pay more to fly first class, and many people consider the United States to be in the front of the plane. So pay your taxes and fly up front while the dregs in the back wallow in bad food and clogged toilets. Enjoy the patriotic cocktail of flying first class and then pass out and drool on the cheap pillow.
Here's a great view of how much money we are spending A DAY on the WAR THAT DRAGS ON FOREVER. Bring our men and women home. We've had enough.
"The money spent on the war each day is enough to make a year of college affordable for 160,000 low-income students through Pell Grants, or pay the annual salaries of nearly 11,000 additional border patrol agents or 14,000 more police officers." - Bob Herbert, NYT
We are at the brink of a situation where the costs of this war will reach $3 trillion. It's difficult to fathom that cost. I really miss my Republicans of old. I liked them better than the Democrats in a lot of ways. But the Democrats look good at the moment. At least when they put the country in debt it's for silly things like health care and education for Americans or giveaways to their corporate buddies. Lets be honest, both parties stink and are to blame for this mess.
Someone please find some smooth air. This turbulence is really a drag, especially when we had to throw away our water bottle, take our shoes off and be frisked for the pleasure of being here.

Things are buckled down. We are in full crank on this game and daybreak becomes sunset while indoors for a lot of folks. Sorry i haven't been posting much.

I was listening back to the Lazlow Show 31 tonight and i think it's one of our best.
Friday i'm meeting up with danny from the Opie and Anthony Show to get a disk of Episode 31 that solves the issues of bits of audio disappearing from the download. Once i get that we'll be sending box sets out so you all have clean versions of the show.
